Costs & payments

How much does a full 2BHK interior cost in Raipur or Bhopal?

For a typical 2BHK, core interiors — modular kitchen, wardrobes, a TV unit, false ceiling with lighting, and painting — come to about ₹4.2–8.6 lakh in Essential to Premium finishes; a complete home with flooring, furniture and décor ₹7.5–16.6 lakh. A 3BHK is ₹6–12.4 lakh for core interiors. Figures exclude GST. Where you land depends mostly on how much carpentry you build (in running feet and sq ft), the shutter finish and the hardware brand.

See every rate on our pricing page, or get a room-by-room figure from the interior cost calculator.

Do you charge a design fee?

It depends on how you work with us. Design-only engagements are billed as a design fee; on design-and-execution projects, how the design work is charged is set out in your proposal before you commit. Fixed-scope options are listed on our design packages page.

How are payments usually structured?

Typically in stages: a booking or design fee when you sign the proposal, an advance before materials are ordered and factory production starts, payments at agreed milestones, and the balance at handover once the snag list is closed. The exact split is written into your quotation — see our process for what happens at each stage.

Is GST included in your quotations?

GST is shown as a separate line on every quotation, at the rate applicable to each item, so you can see exactly what you are paying for the work and what goes to tax.

Can I get an estimate before you visit the site?

Yes. Send us your floor plan on WhatsApp and a list of what you want built and we can give you an indicative range. A firm, itemised quotation follows the site measurement and design, because measurements and site conditions change the numbers.

Why do two quotes for the "same" kitchen differ so much?

Because they rarely are the same kitchen. Compare the carcass material (BWP vs BWR vs MDF or particle board), board thickness, shutter finish, edge banding, hardware brand and series, countertop, and what accessories and installation are included. Ask every vendor for an itemised quote with brands named. Our guide to laminate, veneer and acrylic explains the finish differences.

Design process

What happens at the first consultation?

A relaxed 30-minute conversation — by phone, video or at our Raipur studio — about your home, how you live, your timeline and your budget. If we are a good fit, the next step is a site visit with measurements and a written proposal. The first call is complimentary.

Will I see 3D designs before work starts?

Yes. During design development we prepare 3D views of the key rooms so you can see proportions, colours and lighting before anything is made. The number of views and revision rounds is listed in your proposal. You can see examples among our 3D walkthroughs.

How many design revisions are included?

Your proposal states the revision rounds included at each stage. We deliberately build time for feedback into the concept stage, where changes are cheap — the aim is that by the time drawings go to the factory, nothing needs to change.

Can you work with furniture and decor I already own?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Tell us early which pieces are staying — a dining table, a family heirloom, artwork — and we will plan the layout, lighting and colour around them rather than working around them later.

Do you follow Vastu?

If Vastu matters to you, we plan with it from the first layout — kitchen and stove placement, the puja space, bed orientation and entrance. Many principles sit comfortably with good design; where they conflict with light or space, we show you the options. Try our free Vastu checker to see where your plan stands.

Can I hire you for design only and use my own contractor?

Yes. A design-only engagement gives you layouts, a material schedule, 3D views and working drawings your contractor can build from. Site visits during execution can be added. See design packages for what each option includes.

Materials

Which plywood should be used in a kitchen?

Use BWP (boiling-water-proof) grade plywood for the sink unit and other wet zones, and at least a good BWR grade elsewhere in the kitchen. All exposed edges should be edge-banded, because water usually enters through edges, not faces. In bedrooms and living rooms, quality MR-grade plywood is usually adequate.

Laminate, acrylic or PU — which finish should I choose?

Laminate is the most durable and budget-friendly, and handles daily Indian cooking well. Acrylic gives a deep high-gloss look but scratches more easily. PU paint offers seamless colour and matt or gloss finishes at a higher cost and needs gentler care. Many kitchens mix them — laminate below, acrylic or PU on tall units. Read the full comparison.

Are modular kitchens termite-proof?

No material is fully termite-proof, but the risk can be made very low: borer- and termite-treated plywood, an anti-termite treatment of the site before installation, raised plinths or legs, and keeping the cabinet base dry. In central India's climate we treat this as standard, not an upgrade.

What countertop works best for Indian cooking?

Granite is heat-tolerant, tough and good value. Quartz is non-porous and easy to keep clean but should not take a hot kadhai directly. Marble looks beautiful but stains with turmeric, lemon and oil, so we rarely recommend it for a working kitchen.

Which hardware brands do you use?

We specify hinges, drawer systems and accessories from established brands available in India — common choices include Hettich, Häfele, Blum and Ebco — matched to the budget and how hard the kitchen will be used. Your quotation names the exact brand and series, so you can check them yourself. Browse finishes in our material library.

Timelines

How long does a full home interior take?

Design typically takes 2–4 weeks. Execution of a 2–3BHK usually takes 45–75 days after you sign off the design, depending on scope, civil changes and material lead times. Villas and larger homes take longer. Your project schedule, shared at design sign-off, gives your actual dates.

How long does a modular kitchen take?

Typically around 4–6 weeks from final design sign-off to a working kitchen: factory production of the units, then installation of carcasses, countertop, sink, appliances and fine adjustment. Civil or plumbing changes beforehand add time.

Can you finish before our griha pravesh or a festival date?

Tell us the date at the very first call. If it is realistic we plan backwards from it and may phase the work — kitchen, puja room and one bedroom first, for example. If it is not realistic, we will say so honestly rather than promise and rush.

Does the monsoon slow down work?

It can. Painting, polishing and some adhesives need dry conditions, and material deliveries can slip during heavy rain. We sequence monsoon projects so that wet-sensitive work happens on dry days, and we build a buffer into the schedule. Our guide to monsoon-proof interiors covers material choices.

Do we need to move out during the work?

For a new flat, there is usually no one living there yet. For renovations with civil, flooring or electrical rewiring, moving out for part of the work is far easier and faster. A kitchen-only project typically means a short period without a working kitchen, which we schedule with you in advance.

Working with us

Which cities do you work in?

Our studio is in Raipur and we regularly work across Raipur, Naya Raipur (Atal Nagar), Bhilai–Durg and Bilaspur, and in Bhopal, where consultations happen at your site or on a video call. See our locations page for Raipur and Bhopal details.

Do you handle civil, electrical and plumbing work too?

On design-and-execution projects we coordinate the related civil changes, electrical and plumbing points, false ceiling and painting so you have one point of contact instead of five. Exactly what is included is itemised in your quotation.

Who will be my point of contact?

One named person from the studio leads your project from design to handover. During execution you get weekly progress photos on WhatsApp and a call at every milestone.

Do you take on single rooms or small projects?

Yes — a kitchen, a bedroom with wardrobes, a living room refresh or a home office. Smaller projects follow the same process, just faster. The services page lists everything we do.

Do you design offices, shops and restaurants?

Yes. We design workplaces, clinics, showrooms, cafés and other commercial spaces. See office interiors and commercial interiors.

Can you start before the builder hands over the flat?

Design can — and ideally should — start before possession. With the builder's floor plan we can finish layouts and kitchen design, so that measurements on handover day only fine-tune drawings and work can begin quickly. Check your builder's rules on modifications first.

After handover

What warranty do I get?

Our workmanship warranty covers how we made and installed your interiors; its period is stated in your handover document. Branded items carry their manufacturer's own warranties — hardware brands, for example, often offer 5–10 years on hinges and drawer systems, subject to their terms. Details are on our warranty & support page.

A cabinet door has dropped — how do I fix it?

Usually a quarter-turn of a hinge screw. The screw nearest the door edge moves it sideways, the one behind it moves it in or out, and many hinges have a height adjustment too. Step-by-step help is on our support page; if it does not hold, report it and we will fix it.

How should I clean laminate and acrylic shutters?

Laminate: a soft damp cloth with mild soap, then dry — especially the edges. Acrylic: microfibre only, because wiping dust across gloss causes fine scratches. Avoid abrasive pads, acetone and acid cleaners on both.

Something broke after handover — what do I do?

Use the report-an-issue form or WhatsApp us at +91 91115 54999 with two or three photos. We acknowledge every report within one working day.

Can we add more furniture or rooms later?

Yes. Keep the spare laminate and edge-band offcuts we leave at handover — they help us match finishes. Laminate designs are sometimes discontinued or vary slightly between batches, so for a perfect match it is worth planning additions sooner rather than later.
